4th of July 2014 Celebrations and Fireworks in the Bardmoor and Bayou Club Area in Largo and Pinellas Park, FL

It is the time of the year again, when we are Celebrating Independence Day! 

If you are living in the Bayou Club/Bardmoor area and are looking for a place to watch 4th of July Fireworks 2014, there is a great selection of places nearby!

Here a list of Fireworks and Celebrations this 4th of July 2014:

Clearwater, FL: Coachman Park, 301 Drew St.
Radio Station Q105 is one of the media sponsors during the event. Children’s carnival area, arts and crafts booths and face painting activities. A concert featuring a performance by the Mostly Pops Orchestra with John and Mary K Wilson, is scheduled from 7 – 9:30 p.m., followed by fireworks.

Largo, FL: Fourth of July Celebration, Largo Central Park Food & drink vendors, entertainment and activities for all ages; on-site parking available $5/vehicle, park for free and walk from either Largo Middle School or Largo High School; event is free; starting 6 p.m., fireworks

Madeira Beach, FL: Archibald Park, 14400 Gulf Blvd., Madeira Beach, FL 33708 All day beach party, live music on the sand starts at 1:00 PM, food & beer vendors are planned. Incl. kid zone which includes a gaming center and aqua bubbles.  Fireworks at 9:00PM. (Rain date will be Friday, July 5th at 9pm).

St. Petersburg, FL: Fourth of July in St. Petersburg, Downtown Wednesday, July 4 Full day of family oriented activities. 9 pm – fireworks over the Bay at Spa Beach.

St Pete Beach, FL: Beach Access Park across from Dolphin Village, at 4700 Gulf Blvd., Family friendly fireworks show gets underway after sunset/ 8:30PM. Grab the blanket and picnic basket and arrive before dusk to get a great spot for viewing the display, which is set off over the gulf. Swimming is allowed, however, there are no lifeguards on duty and sending the kids out into the water after dark is not advised. Beach Access Park has 235 parking spaces, so come early.

Treasure Island, FL: Beach at 106th and Gulf Blvd. (Bilmar Beach Resort), 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. – family friendly activities and  live music by Horses Wild. Fireworks at 9:00 pm.


If you are interested in a more formal 4th of July Celebration, maybe one of these events would be for you:

July Fourth celebration at The Mahaffey Theater: Cowhead’s Brew Ha-Ha Fourth, with headliner Comedian Ralphie May. 5 p.m. pre-party and BBQ on the Plaza, followed by a 7:30 p.m. comedy show, fireworks and an outdoor concert with Pitbull Toddler. 5 p.m. Thursday; $20 to $47.50; The Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S., St. Petersburg; (727) 892-5798;

Fireworks at the Museum of Fine Arts: Following a barbecue buffet with live music, you will enjoy prime seating in the glass conservatory of the Museum of Fine Arts for the fireworks display. 6:30 p.m., Thursday; $45 non-members, $35 museum members; Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Dr. N.E., St. Petersburg; (727) 822-1032 and

Although I can’t resist posting this photo of my sweet boy Rocky (he’s a Havanese) with his fancy bow, I strongly encourage you to please check in advance if our furry friends are allowed at these 4th of July Celebrations mentioned above. Most of the local beaches do not allow dogs. Also, keep in mind that the crowds and fireworks might be very scary for them. More pets get lost on 4th of July than any other day of the year. Make sure your furry friend is having a safe Independence Day 2014!
